Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson grew up in Mexico with a family that was devoted to music. Growing up, she listened to many classical music and older boleros. Also, she listened to traditional ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana loves tangos. Also, she loves operas as well as any dramatic performance. Ana began learning to sing and play music from an early age, along alongside her mother. She received more formal vocal training when she was 16 years old with the renowned Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. The School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. In Guadalajara as well as Mexico City, she was a member of many chamber and opera choirs. After moving in the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. After 2002 she relocated to southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private functions and as a member Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Passion and enthusiasm in music, art and performing keeps her involved in many local projects as a performer and teacher. Ana has been a member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for having the chance to share her love and enthusiasm for traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to impart a desire to, particularly in the younger age group in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
